Hello all,
It's been far too long, I know. But what do you think that means? Stuff?! Nowai!
With
all the holiday craziness, I hope you can excuse our absence. Danielle
has been slaving away over comic pages, and I have had my thinking-cap
on for so long that I think it may be stuck D:
We have only stopped
to greet family during the holidays and clear our minds. Believe it or
not, working on personal projects can be stressful, energy sucking, life
consuming and unrelenting.
Never fear, my eager readers there
will be Mutare Ludum to come. The pages for Bloodgroove are well on
their way to reaching the top of Mountain Awesome, and Stitches and
Strings is trudging behind in the fleshing-out stage. On top of our
usual ML projects, Imaginos Workshop has made the two of us part of the
collaboration team on an intellectual property currently referred to as
Crazy Kings.
Danielle has still found herself swamped in
commissions (mostly mask making and bleach painting, though she's still
in contact with the children's author and his illustrations are well on
their way.)
And I? Well.. Just been working on plot and helping
Dani when she needs it. I've been working mostly on Stitches and Strings
and Crazy Kings.
Also the two of us also have been tossing
around ideas for a few storytelling scripts. Being paid to perform
original stories? Win! (For those of you who are unaware, Danielle and I
are huge theatre geeks.)
So, slowly but surely our dreams are
coming to reality, though many things have been learned along the way.
Production schedules are for the birds! ...but also very important. We
are hoping to have the first issue of Bloodgroove prepared for you by
the end of May, and Stitches and Strings will be posted to the website
as completed. Stay updated!
In the near future?
Danielle and I will forsures be attending:
Comic Expo -Grand Rapids (Mid March)
Amber Con -Livonia (Late March)
Other cons as well, but they are not confirmed yet.
More
masks will be featured in a yet another mask making blog, and possibly a
more detailed bleach painting one. Further, our tumblr is up and
running once more, and our DA will be filling up shortly. (Everybody say
thank you Danielle!)
Thanks for following and keep on keepin' on,
April
